Over a hundred reporters at Keanu and Dogstar news conference
TV9 (Thailand) -- October 9, 2002
October 9, 2002, at the Banyantree Bangkok Hotel, over a hundred reporters were present at a news conference concerning the upcoming Dogstar concert. The band is featuring Keanu Reeves, a popular Hollywood movie star ("Speed", "The Matrix"). This is the first time for the band to perform in Thailand on October 11, 8pm at the Indoor Stadium, Huamark.
Keanu shows up in slack pants, gray T-shirt and suit jacket. And his friends Bret Domrose (guitar/vocals) and Rob Mailhouse (drums) wearing casual shirts. Keanu was a bit quiet but his friends were more talkative. Keanu said he had once been to Thailand before, but only for one day and had to go back. This time they arrived the night of 7 october but he was not allowed to leave Banyantree, the place they are staying. The organizers arranged a very good security because there were young people pretending to be reporters trying to enter the conference room to get close to the movie star. During the interview most of the time Keanu would not look into the crowd because then the cameras would flash a lot. The presenter asked the group what made them come to Thailand later than originally planned. Bret Domrose and Rob Mailhouse both say that can only be answered by Keanu. He was busy at the time making the movie The Matrix 2 and 3 in Australia. The presenter asked Keanu why he choose to play the bass. And he said he likes the various nice kinds of sounds that it makes. His friends interrupting him and saying no, it is just because the girls like it. Keanu looks fine. Still the same style. A day or more not shaved covering his nice cheeks. He also looks a bit skinny in the face. And the familiar not worrying about his hair do, as you see in the picture. However he still looks like a top hot Hollywood action movie star anyway. |
